FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST

Kantor & Company Salon is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist. In this role, you will manage the front of the house and work closely with our creative and experienced stylists. Your primary responsibilities will include creating excellent first impressions, warmly greeting clients, and providing general support throughout the salon.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting Clients: Welcome each person as a personal friend. Ensure a friendly atmosphere regardless of their status. Relate to the time of day, mention their name if known, inquire about who they are here to see, offer a beverage, and provide an estimated timeline for their appointment.

  2. Answering the Phone: Respond to calls with, “Thank you for choosing Kantor & Company, this is [Your Name], how can I assist you?”

  3. Managing Appointments: Prioritize pre-booking to reduce last-minute scheduling issues. Efficient appointment management helps minimize stress for both clients and staff.

  4. Cleaning and Organization: At the end of your shift, ensure the front desk and computer area are clean and organized. Wipe down and organize all waiting areas, including tables and chairs, vacuum rugs, and sanitize the front door (both inside and out) with Windex. Clean and prep the concession area for the next day, including washing and drying the water container, refilling coffee and tea machines, and checking snack jars.

  5. Communication: Respond promptly to emails and social media messages.

  6. Team Assistance: Support team responsibilities such as cleaning and disinfecting between clients and help rearrange the schedule at stylists’ requests.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $15-16 per hour or more, based on experience, plus tips.

  • Education Fund: Eligible to earn 10% commission towards an education fund for retail sales exceeding $100 per pay period.

  • Overtime: Defined as any work over forty (40) hours in a workweek, paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate, subject to manager authorization in accordance with Colorado Law.
